Guilds[]

A guild inside the MetaGame is simply a collective of players with a more specific purpose inside the MetaGame purpose. They differentiate from raid parties and rings by their purpose being more long term. All guilds currently inside the MetaGame are also a part of the MetaCartel Alliance.

They get to play their own coordination game internally, but may be looked down upon if not ran as a DAO (if not in a super-early phase).

They are here to either serve an idea by coordinating around it and organizing raid parties and rings when needed, or be service providers for ideas ran by other guilds or players.

Who can be a guild?[]

  • Theoretically, any group of people with a shared goal.
  • It can be a development agency, it can be a marketing or a consulting agency.
  • Every dApp that's used as legos by the MetaGame, may have it's own.

Why "theoretically any group"?[]

  • Because, to join the MetaGame as a guild, you need to go through the community vetting process of checking how aligned you are with the MetaGame purposes, and whether you provide enough value.
  • Players already inside the MetaGame can freely start guilds, but need also need to get past a certain phase before their guilds can be used for onboarding new players to the MetaGame.
  • Also, it's costlier to start guilds than raid parties or rings.

Are there any guilds yet?[]

  • Oddysy Automaton (the team behind Pokémol and DAOHaus)
  • Wizard Amigos (EF associates, teaching refugees to code and built a workshop2skill tree among other things)
  • Memecraft (will be among the first MetaGame born guilds)
  • Proposal Factory Coops (also)
